In the first few weeks, you’ll get stuck into interactive workshops. These will see you developing the key skills employers look for. You’ll learn about interview techniques, business numeracy, effective communication and more.

You’ll then spend the next three weeks getting work experience. Based either at our Bradford or Liverpool contact centres, you’ll find out what makes us tick and get a real feel for the working world.

Once this is complete, we’ll help you put together a portfolio to show potential employers all the skills and experiences you gained during the programme.

During the final week, you’ll also have an interview with a Santander line manager, which could potentially secure you a position as a Retail Contact Centre Apprentice.

This programme is for those who’ve left school but don’t feel ready for work yet. If you don’t have a level-3 qualification and are not currently in employment, this programme will give you the boost you need.

Ok, so now for the small print. To take part in the traineeship you need to be:

Passionate and enthusiastic

Unemployed at the start of the apprenticeship

Have little or no work experience

Have GCSEs in Maths and English (at grade ‘E’ or above)

Be assessed as ready for employment/apprenticeship (within six months of starting)

Core skills every employer wants

Real, hands-on work experience

A portfolio that shows evidence of your skills

City & Guilds entry level 3 employability qualification

Chance to progress to an apprenticeship with us

Even if you don’t progress to an apprenticeship with us, you’ll emerge from this programme with a ton of confidence. You’ll have the skills, experiences and mindset needed to kickstart your career.
